The hired FC Copenhagen striker has been suspended, and he is therefore not present when Hamburger SV meets Fortuna Düsseldorf this weekend.
It is due to disciplinary reasons. This is what the Dane’s head coach tells Hamburger Abendblatt.
– Kaufmann is not in the squad against Düsseldorf. If you are not punctual on several occasions, it is possible that you are not there on the weekend, he says and continues:
– We have rules on the team.
Right now, Mikkel Kaufmann is on loan to the German tradition club until the summer.
HSV, however, has a buyout deal on the former AaB striker, but several German media are now speculating that the football club does not intend to use it.
Head coach Tim Walter does not go into further detail about the decision regarding Mikkel Kaufmann in the interview with the German media.
Mikkel Kaufmann’s team is currently ranked number seven in the second best football series in Germany. There are currently seven points up to third place, which can give promotion to the Bundesliga.
