Gasli is the fastest in the first training session in Bahrain

Alpha Tauri driver Pierre Gasley was the fastest in today’s first training session before the first race in this year’s Formula 1 championship for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Gasley scored 1: 34.193 minutes.

The second was Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc with 0.364 seconds behind, and the third was his teammate Carlos Sainz with 0.418 seconds behind.

Mercedes driver George Russell took fourth place with 0.436 seconds behind Gasley, and current world champion Max Verstappen from Red Bull was fifth with 0.549 seconds behind.

Seven-time world champion Luis Hamilton from Mercedes took seventh place with a gap of 0.750 seconds behind Gasley.
The second training on the program is later today, the qualifiers will take place on Saturday at 4 pm, and at the same time on Sunday, the new Formula 1 season will start with the race for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
