Camilla Martin is back on screen after she got a malaise on live TV on Friday
There were probably many who got a bit of a scare when TV host Camilla Martin suddenly got ill in the studio during the live broadcast of the badminton tournament All England.

But even though she assured shortly afterwards that she was fine, it had not yet been decided whether she would be on screen again as early as Saturday.

But now there is good news – she’s back.

This is confirmed by channel manager on TV 2, Kristian Hyldgaard, to Ekstra Bladet.

– Camilla has volunteered and is upstairs again. And luckily it was not more dramatic, except that it was a presumed dehydration or similar yesterday (Friday, ed.). And she actually showed up ready already yesterday. But we decided that the most sensible thing was that she should keep the rest of the day free and get some energy in her body again.

Have you had any concerns regarding sending her to the studio again so soon?

I talked to her a lot yesterday, and I’m incredibly aware that she’s okay and that she’s in no doubt. She needs to be comfortable with it all and the team needs to be comfortable with it all. She is completely clarified with what it was that happened and the most important thing for me was that she was in safe hands.

– If there had been the slightest thing, she would of course not have been back today. We have had an ongoing dialogue. Both with the editorial staff and with Camilla. This is something we take very seriously.

On TV you could see how Camilla Martin in the studio on Friday afternoon suddenly leaned crookedly across the table before she said ‘I’m just getting a little dirty’, after which she asked the two experts Joachim Fischer and Jim Laugesen if they could talk further .

Subsequently, she had to lie down, and when the direct images from the studio returned, one could hear in the background that the host was not feeling very well.

But already shortly after, the TV 2 host told Ekstra Bladet that she had been in similar situations before, where she has felt bad. She therefore spent most of her time reassuring her colleagues that she was actually quite okay.

And on Saturday, it is also a well-placed Camilla Martin, who from the studio in Birmingham, among other things, will focus on Viktor Axelsen’s semi-final, which will be played on Saturday night.

– We take it easy. So everything is fine so far, she writes in a text message.

You can follow Viktor Axelsen’s match to reach the All England final live right here on ekstrabladet.dk from 20.00.
