Ferrari double victory at the start of the World Cup in Bahrain, disaster for Red Bull

Verstappen struggled, complaining about tires and brakes. Red Bull tried the undercut a second time, again Leclerc kept the lead in the Ferrari.

When the seats were taken, it suddenly got exciting again. The engine of Pierre Gasly’s Alpha Tauri burst into flames, and the field narrowed again behind the safety car. Then Verstappen’s problems got bigger and bigger. The Dutchman had to let Sainz pass and rolled out in the pits.

Zero number for Red Bull

Things got even worse for Red Bull. Sergio Perez spun on the final lap, throwing away third place and failing to finish in the points.
