The basketball team of the United States of America advanced to the finals of the Olympic Games in Tokyo today, after beating Australia in the semifinals with 97:78 (18:24, 24:21, 32:10, 23:23).

Kevin Durant with 23 and Devin Booker with 20 points led the Americans to the fight for the fourth consecutive Olympic gold, while Jrou Holliday and Chris Middleton added 11 each.

In the Australian team, the best were Patti Mills with 15 and Dante Eskum with 14 points.

The Australians were better in the first half, they were constantly in the lead, and at one point they reached a 15.point advantage of 41:26.

From that moment, a series of Americans started, who first came to 45:42 by the end of the half, only to completely turn the game in their favor in the third quarter. At the end of the third section, they had a 19.point advantage, after which they routinely brought the match to an end.

U.S. basketball players will fight for gold with the winner of the second semifinal, in which Slovenia and France will meet.
