Formula 1: Red Bull and Max Verstappen are struggling with many small problems

Max Verstappen has looked happier before. He still hasn’t forgotten his technical failure at the opening race in Bahrain. “If we want to fight for the title, then there can’t be too many races like in Bahrain,” said the world champion ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah (qualifying at 5:30 p.m. CET/live ServusTV, Sky). “It’s unfortunate, but it shouldn’t happen.”

The bug has now been found. A vacuum has formed in the fuel system, preventing the fuel pump from delivering fuel to the engine. “I think we’ve fixed that now,” said Red Bull team boss Christian Horner. “Now we’re collecting some data on that.”
