Bayer Leverkusen: Diagnosis there: The season is over for Amine Adli too!

The bad news at Bayer Leverkusen just doesn’t stop. Now Amine Adli (21) has also been diagnosed.

The French U21 international tore a tendon in his right thigh during last Thursday’s 2-0 win against the Faroe Islands in the European Championship qualifier in Calaias. This was revealed by an MRI scan.

Means: The season is already over for Adli! He only returns to prepare for the new season. Adli played 34 competitive games for the Werkself, in which the Toulouse side contributed four goals and four assists.

The feared next long-term absence at the Werkself is a bitter certainty: Jeremie Frimpong (21/surgery after a syndesmosis rupture), Florian Wirtz (18/surgery after a cruciate ligament rupture) and Timothy Fosu-Mensah (24/tendon injury in the thigh) have all been injured recently ) heavy.

The staffing level is becoming thinner and thinner, especially since Hertha BSC Kerem Demirbay (28 (tenth yellow card) is suspended and top striker Patrik Schick (26) after his calf injury is likely to be considered for a squad place at most.
