Croats at the Olympic Games in Paris, who qualified? Water polo players are the first team…

We see what kind of results we have in the Olympic sports of taekwondo, sailing, gymnastics, rowing… and in this context, before Paris, we are concerned about team sports. We expect that we will have water polo players, handball players and possibly basketball players there, who have a very difficult qualifying group.

The president of the Croatian Olympic Committee said this at the end of last year Zlatko Mateša.

To date, the list of athletes who will go to Paris stands at 21. Only 21. 59 Croatian athletes competed in Tokyo, 87 in Rio, a record 106 in London, and never except in Barcelona in 1992, when a good part of the sports federations did not even included Croatia in its membership, there were no less than 50 of them.

On Sunday, the water polo players, as expected, raised that figure and became the first Croatian team sports team to qualify for Paris.

In some sports, Croatia has a guaranteed place in certain disciplines or categories, but it has not yet been specified which specific athletes will occupy those places.
