Eriksen to start the match against Serbia on Tuesday

The selector of the Danish national team, Casper Hulmand, said today that he was satisfied with the successful return to the field of football player Christian Eriksen, who will start a friendly match against Serbia in Copenhagen, at the stadium where he suffered a heart attack last June.
Eriksen played for Denmark last night and scored a goal in the 2: 4 defeat by the Netherlands in Amsterdam. He scored just two minutes after entering the game, and the entire stadium in Amsterdam applauded him, even the referee.

“I didn’t expect him to be so good so quickly. He ran great, he gave rhythm to the game. He showed composure. I enjoy watching him play,” Hülman told Danish media.

Denmark will play a friendly match against Serbia in Copenhagen on Tuesday, and the coach said that Eriksen will be the starter.

This will be the first time that Eriksen plays at Parken Stadium, since he suffered a heart attack while playing for the national team against Finland at the European Championship last June.

The Danish media are full of praise for Eriksen, calling his return “sensational” and stating that all this is for a “film script”.

Eriksen said that he can’t wait to run on the field.

“It will be extremely special. The match against the Netherlands was just a warm-up for Tuesday, where I will run on the field where it happened,” Eriksen said.
