Defeat of Serbian football players from Denmark in Copenhagen

The football national team of Serbia lost today in Copenhagen to the selection of Denmark with 0: 3 in a friendly match.

Goals for Denmark at Parken Stadium were scored by Joakim Mele in the 15th minute, Jasper Lindström in the 53rd minute and Christian Eriksen in the 57th minute.

Serbia had the initiative at the beginning of the match, but the Danes quickly changed their attitude on the field, so they took the lead in the 15th minute with a goal by Mele. After the corner, the ball bounced to Mele, who ran on it and hit the goal of Serbia from more than 20 meters.

The Danes were more dangerous until the end of the first half, and in the last seconds of that part of the game they could have doubled the advantage, but Nergor hit “only” the post.

At the beginning of the sequel, the home team resolved the issue of the winner of this match.

First, Filip Kostić lost the ball in the 53rd minute, after which Pierre-Emile Hoybjerg threw it into the penalty area, where Lindstrom was completely alone, and it was not difficult for him to defeat Predrag Rajković.

Four minutes later, Eriksen set the final score with a great shot from twenty meters.

Eriksen, the captain of Denmark in this match, returned to the stadium where he suffered a heart attack last June. He was greeted with applause on the crowded Parken, and in the same way he was sent off the field when he was reduced in the 80th minute.

Serbia sent the first shot within the goal of Denmark only at the end of the match, when Kasper Schmeichel stopped Kostic’s shot.

After friendly matches with Hungary and Denmark, Dragan Stojković’s team will play in the League of Nations against Norway, Slovenia and Sweden in June.
