In a list without Patri Guijarro, news for Brazil and Scotland comes from Abelleira, Pina, and Shei Garci

Teresa Abelleira of Real Madrid, Claudia Pina of FC Barcelona, and Sheila Garca of Atlético de Madrid are the primary newcomers on the team list released by women’s national soccer coach Jorge Vilda on Thursday for the matches against Brazil and Scotland.

Due to the absence of FC Barcelona midfielder Patri Guijarro, who suffered a muscular injury during the Champions League match against Real Madrid, the Galician footballer finds a position in the national team’s midfield.

For her part, the young Catalan striker sees her good form and goals rewarded, and she strengthens an offensive unit that has lost Mariona Caldentey and Madridista Marta Cardona due to injury, both of whom were present in the last Arnold Clark Cup.

The U-17 world champion was already in this competition as a substitute for Real Madrid midfielder Claudia Zornoza, who was forced to withdraw at the last minute after testing positive for coronavirus, but she continues to have Vilda’s trust, as does her partner Athenea del Castillo, who is in fine form, and Atlético side Sheila Garca, who were substitutes in the English tournament for the injured Mariona Caldentey and Irene Paredes

On April 7, Spain will play Brazil in a friendly at the José Rico Pérez Stadium in Alicante, and five days later, they will play Scotland in Glasgow in a match where a win might earn them a World Cup ticket. Those chosen will meet at the Ciudad del Ftbol in Las Rozas on Monday, April 5. (Madrid).
