Custom-made rope, spacer… In the secrets of the Eiffel Tower rope climbing record

In recent weeks, two tests were organized at night before the official ascent. A lot of technical details had to be sorted out before Anouk Garnier could harness herself under the Eiffel Tower, which she has been planning to climb for a year. Scheduled for Wednesday April 3, the attempt was postponed due to unfavorable weather (strong winds). It could take place this Friday at the earliest.

The double world obstacle course champion will try to climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower by climbing a rope, 110 m long. She hopes to break the world record for both men and women by 90 m. “Monumental Eiffel Tower”, an extraordinary challenge on all points.
