Wrestling broke out when the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic thorned together in the NBA on Thursday.
With just under eight minutes left in the final quarter, there was ‘trash talk’ and hostile sentiment after the Hornets ‘Jalen McDaniels made a mistake on the Magics’ RJ Hampton.
Several players started pushing each other, and eventually all of the team’s stars stood in a cluster that the referees tried to break up.
Montrezl Harrell of the Hornets and Robin Lopez of the Magic started pushing each other under the basket after McDaniel’s mistake at Hampton.
Coaches and referees eventually had to pull players away from each other to avoid an escalation of the situation.
However, no one was injured in the crash.
“WWE, there’s no one like wrestler,” Hornets Terry Rozier said in response to the episode, according to ESPN.
One must assume that the comment is intended as an inquiry to the World Wrestling Federation.
But the match referee clearly disagreed with Rozier, for the incident resulted in three expulsions after it was seen through on video.
At this point, however, the battle was long overdue.
The Hornets were ahead by 25 points, and the team from North Carolina ended up winning the match 128-101.
With the win, they secure a place in the NBA playoffs.
