The president of the Football Association of Denmark, Peter Meller, said that the medical team on the field performed a heart massage on the national team member Christian Eriksen, when he collapsed during today’s match against Finland at the European Championship.

He stated that the Alliance is in contact with Eriksen and that the Inter football player is fine.

Meller told Danish television DR that Eriksen “fell, was given help and received a heart massage on the field”.

“Fortunately, he woke up when he left the stadium,” said the president of the Federation.

The match between Denmark and Finland was interrupted for 90 minutes, but continued from the 43rd minute.

Meller said that it was important for the players of Denmark that Eriksen was well before they continued the game and that they wanted to pay tribute to him by ending the match.

Finland beat Denmark 1.0 in Copenhagen, in the first round of Group B.
