Severe injury of Burnley football player in the game in the Premier League

Burnley football player Ashley Westwood was taken to hospital due to a serious leg injury he suffered during the match with West Ham in the clash with Nikola Vlašić, after which the player of the London team was visibly upset.

Westwood and Vlašić were in a duel in the 22nd minute, when Banli’s player fell on the grass. The players immediately asked for help, and when Vlašić saw the injury, he fell to his knees and cried, so the players of both teams had to calm him down. Also, other players on the field were upset about the injury.

Doctors provided help to Westwood for 10 minutes on the field, after which he was taken out of the field on a stretcher and taken to the hospital, and it is not yet known what kind of injury it is.
Burnley interim coach Mike Jackson told Skye that his player is in the hospital.

“We know it doesn’t work well, but we hope it’s not as bad as it seemed to us. It affected the whole group, since it’s their teammate. We hope it’s good,” he said.

West Ham footballer Thomas Soucek wished Westwood to recover as soon as possible.

“It is a terrible injury and I hope that Westwood will be well soon. I wish him all the best,” said Soucek.

The match between West Ham and Burnley ended in a draw 1: 1.
