OFC Managing Director Hock undergoes surgery after assault

Managing director Christian Hock of regional football club Offenbacher Kickers has to undergo an operation after a brutal attack on him, according to his own statements.

“It was a truly unbelievable act that is difficult to understand and digest. I am doing OK given the circumstances,” the 54-year-old told the German Press Agency.

Late on Thursday evening last week, Hock was attacked and beaten in front of his house. The former second division professional from FSV Mainz 05 said he had been lured out of his apartment beforehand. A man rang his doorbell and said that another car had driven into Hock’s car.

Nose surgery

“I quickly put something on, ran downstairs and to the side of the man’s car. The next thing I heard was my nose breaking and saw that the front tooth flew off,” said Hock.

The unknown man then ran away without stealing anything from Hock. “He clearly wanted to harm me,” said Hock. He doesn’t have any problems with anyone in his private life, so he suspects that the attacker comes from the football scene.

This Wednesday he has to undergo an operation on his nose, and later his front tooth will be replaced. “I’m already worried when I walk out of the front door or get out of the car. I look around five or six times,” said Hock. He has filed a report with the police.
