Belgium suffered a surprise loss to Slovakia. Romania started the EC tournament with a handsome victory over Ukraine.

Romania started the European football final tournament in Munich on Monday with a handsome victory, and Slovakia surprised Belgium in the second match of Group E in Frankfurt. Romania defended Ukraine ineffectively and took a 3–0 victory Nicolae Stanciun, Razvan Marinin and Denis Dragusin with goals.

Slovakia beat Belgium Ivan Schranzin With a finishing goal in the 7th minute, which froze Belgium’s game for a long time. Belgian star striker Romelu Lukaku missed three chances in the first half of the match. In the second half, he had the ball twice in Slovakia’s goal, but both shots were disallowed by VAR.

Lukaku’s first goal was disallowed for offside and the second was disallowed due to a hand error before the goal.

Slovakian goalkeeper Martin Dubravka made several impressive saves in the match. In addition, a defender David Hancko stopped Johan Bakayokon shot from the goal line in the 62nd minute.

Closely defending Romania took control of the game thanks to Stanciu’s wonderful opening goal in the 29th minute. Stanciu shot the ball from 20 meters into the top corner with a spiral shot Dennis Manin from cross feed.

Marin completed Romania’s 2-0 goal from 22 meters in the 53rd minute. The ball easily found its way to the Ukrainian goalkeeper Andri Luninin from below to the finish line. Four minutes later, Man set up Dragus in an open spot in front of Ukraine’s goal.

Ukraine had its best chances in the final moments of the match, when Romania, leading by three goals, lowered its defense.

Andriy Jarmolenkon the shot in the 64th minute went roughly over the goal. Romanian goalkeeper Florin Nita saved in the 77th minute Georgi Sudakov a strong shot and in the 80th minute Myhailo Mudrykin bounced the free kick awkwardly.

Ukraine will face Slovakia next, and Romania will face Belgium.
