NHL: Patrik Laine's Columbus fired head coach Vincent – Sports

Ice hockey The Columbus Blue Jackets, who play in the NHL, are changing their coach again. The Ohio club named its new hockey director Don Waddellin decision to fire their Canadian head coach Pascal Vincentille. A successor has not yet been named.

Vincent rose from assistant coach to head coach of Columbus last September, replacing Mike Babcockin, who did not have time to coach Columbus in a single match. Columbus’ season ended with the regular season.

“He [Vincent] worked hard during the last year in challenging conditions, but I believe that the change behind the bench is for the best of our team”, explained Waddell on the NHL website.

Waddell replaced Finn as general manager of Columbus Jarmo Kekäläinen, who was fired from the position in February. Kekäläinen worked as Columbus’ GM for 11 years. Columbus’s Finnish forward Patrick Laine has been the subject of transfer rumors in recent weeks.

Before Vincent and Babcock, he was the head coach of Columbus for two seasons Brad Larsen.
