Surprise Slovakia.  A goal from Schranz beats Belgium

Ko aa surprise for the Belgium in his debut at the European Championships: in Frankfurt i Red Devils were defeated 1-0 by Slovakiaתscoring after seven minutes with Schranz.

In the derby between Italian coaches, Domenico Tedesco’s Belgians missed an incredible series of scoring opportunities while Francesco Calzona’s Slovakia did well to suffer. Slovakia is now top of Group E together with Romania who overwhelmed Ukraine 3-0.

In the second half they were Romelu Lukaku’s two goals were disallowed by VAR: the first in the 56th due to an offside by the almost former Roma striker on Onana’s header, the second in the 86th due to a previous handball by Openda. However, Lukaku was a negative protagonist with several errors in front of goal, in particular the serious one in the second minute of the match when from a few steps away he kicked an assist from De Bruyne onto Dubravka’s body.
Many errors occurred at the Frankfurt Arena: in the 21st minute the Slovakian goalkeeper Dubravka was about to make the omelette who gave the ball to Trossard, but the Arsenal playmaker put the ball high from the edge with the goal unguarded. In the 40th minute Haraslin committed the Belgian goalkeeper Casteels with a great right-footed volley and immediately after Lukaku wasted only in front of the goalkeeper.
In the 55th minute Trssard slots in for Lukaku who kicks hard with his right but Dubravkka deflects it for a corner. The goal comes from the corner, then disallowed. In the 62nd minute Bakayoko, who came on in the second half, came close to equalizing but his shot was miraculously saved by Hancko.
The Slovakia could close the qualification process on Friday against Ukraine, Belgium will be forced to get a result on Saturday, against Romania.
