Tonight, the volleyball players of Serbia registered their fourth victory in Group A at the European Championship, as they defeated Azerbaijan with 3: 0 (25:17, 25:20, 25:19) in Belgrade. The most efficient in the match of the fourth round for Serbia was Tijana Bošković with 24 points, Bojana Milenković scored 11 points, and Ana Bjelica scored nine points.

Margarita Stepanenko and Marija Kiriljuk had the best performance in the defeated selection with 10 points each.

Azerbaijan managed to reach a draw in the first set (14:14), but in the continuation, Serbia managed to take the lead with a series of 11: 3 with 1: 0 in sets.

A better game at the beginning of the second set was shown by the selection of Azerbaijan, which took the lead with 4: 9, and Serbia reversed the result in the end, while Serbia won the third part of the game with 25:19.

On the table of Group A, Serbia is leading with the maximum performance and without losing a set, Belgium is second with eight points, while Russia is third with seven points and a game less.

France and BiH have three points each, while Azerbaijan is the last without points, and without winning a set.

Serbia has previously placed in the eighth finals, and the knockout phase will be secured by a total of four best placed selections from four groups.

In the last round of the group stage, Serbia will play against Russia tomorrow (20.00).
