Serbian national team player and Fulham player Aleksandar Mitrović was named the best player of the Championship in the 2021/22 season. Mitrović has scored 41 goals so far, thus breaking the record for the number of goals scored in one Championship season and was one of the most deserving for Fulham’s return to the Premier League . He was also selected in the best team of the Championship for this season.
If he scored two more goals in the remaining three games by the end of the season, he would become the absolute record holder in the number of goals scored in one season of the Championship.
The Serbian football player, who was awarded last night, won this award in front of his teammate Harry Wilson and Bournemouth striker Dominic Solankin.
