Ronnie O’Sullivan in the semifinals of the World Snooker Championship

English snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan advanced to the semifinals of the World Cup today, after he defeated Scot Stephen McGuire with 13: 5 in frames.

In the first session, O’Sullivan imposed his rhythm from the start and celebrated with 6: 2. McGuire started the second session better by winning two frames at the start, but O’Sullivan then managed to win five tied frames and entered the third session with an advantage of five frames.In the last session, O’Sullivan needed two frames to win, which he reached in just over 20 minutes of play and with the total result of 13: 5, he advanced to the next round.

O’Sullivan has won the World Cup six times, and this year he will try to reach the seventh trophy, thus equaling Stephen Hendry in the number of titles.

In the semifinals, O’Sullivan will meet the better player from the duel between the Englishman Jack Lisowski and the Scot John Higgins.
