German tennis player Alexander Zverev announced today that his lawyers have initiated proceedings against “sources and authors who published false allegations” about his domestic violence.

“I asked my German and American lawyers to take over the case. They were given a preliminary ban against the source and the author who published these false allegations,” Zverev wrote on his Twitter account.

Zverev’s ex-girlfriend, Olga Sharipova, accused him of physically and mentally abusing her during their relationship.

The German tennis player denied her allegations from the beginning, and in the end he decided to go to court.

“The court heard our arguments and considers the accusations defamatory and false. The lawyers therefore initiated a new procedure against the source and the author,” Zverev wrote.
