With 53 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Jordan Henderson centered on the wings and the ball hit Villareal’s defender Pervis Estupiñánin to the tip of the shoe, from which it bounced in a handsome arc towards the goal. Keeper Geronimo Rulli a little would hit the ball, after which it fell to the base of the pole and from there to the nets of the net. The goal was marked as Estupiñán’s own goal.
