The coach of the Bologna football players, Siniša Mihajlović, was released today from the local hospital, where he was being treated for leukemia, Italian media reported.
The former selector of the Serbian national team was diagnosed with leukemia for the first time in the summer of 2019.
Mihajlović (53) started to recover after a bone marrow transplant in October 2019, but the disease returned this year, which is why he was forced to continue treatment.
Bologna stated that the Serbian coach and former football player is in good condition.
Mihajlovic is expected to be able to lead Bologna in one of the remaining three games in Serie A.
Bologna takes the 13th place in Serie A, and in the next round they will play against Venice.
