The commemoration of the legendary Yugoslav basketball representative Zoran Sretenović was held today in Belgrade.
Members of Zoran Sretenovic’s family, numerous friends, president Predrag Danilovic, national team selector Svetislav Pesic, legendary Croatian basketball player Dino Radja, former Partizan captain Miroslav Beric and Zoran Stevanovic and many others attended the gathering held in the premises of the Basketball Association of Serbia.
After a minute of silence and reminders of all the great successes that Sretenović achieved during his rich basketball career, KSS President Predrag Danilović reminded of the joint successes from 1991 and 1995 with the national team, as well as years of isolation and sanctions that brought their generation even closer. and made everyone live as one, the Alliance reported.
Sretenović’s teammate from the glorious days of Jugoplastika, Dino Radja, talked about their days in Split, the things that brought them closer and the special relationship they had until the last day. He pointed out Sretnović’s intelligence on and off the field, courage, but also the cheerful spirit that made Zoran Sretenović ready to joke at any time.
Sretenovic’s former teammate, but also his longtime friend Zoran Stevanovic, sent an emotional message to the family, but also a final greeting to his godfather, who passed away suddenly on April 28.
The funeral of Zoran Sretenović will be held at 2 pm at the Kumodraš cemetery.
