Partizan safe against Vojvodina

Partizan players beat Vojvodina 2: 1 today in Belgrade, in the game of the fifth round of the playoffs of the Serbian Super League. Goals for Partizan were scored by Nikola Terzić in the fourth and Ricardo Gomeš in the 41st minute, while the only goal for Vojvodina was scored by Mihajlo Neskovic in the 93rd minute.

Partizan is currently first on the table of the domestic championship with 92 points, ie it has one point more than the Red Star, which will meet Radnički Niš later today.

On the other hand, Vojvodina tied and the fourth defeat in a row is seventh on the table with 42 points won.

The black and whites dominated in the first half, after which they had a 2-0 advantage, but according to the chances they had on the big break, they could have gone with a more convincing lead.

Aleksandar Stanojević’s team took the lead in the fourth minute with a nice goal by Terzić, and after losing to Quincy Manning.

Gomez did not use two good chances for the home team after Terzic’s goal, that is, in those situations, the goalkeeper of Vojvodina, Emil Rockov, stood out.

However, Rockov did not manage to stop the third shot of Gomez, who doubled the lead of Partizan in the 41st minute after the counterattack of the black and whites.

There was not much excitement in the second half, and the final 2: 1 was set by Nešković in the 93rd minute.

The match in Humska started with a minute of silence in honor of the legendary player and coach Ivica Osim, who won last Saturday at the age of 81.

The two teams will meet again on Wednesday in Belgrade, in the semifinals of the Serbian Cup.

In the next round of the Serbian Super League, Partizan will play against Voždovac, while the Novi Sad team will welcome Čukarički.
