Lecler is half a position ahead of the Miami Grand Prix

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc won the pole position before the Miami Grand Prix, the fifth race in the Formula 1 championship.

Leclerc, leading in the overall standings, exported the fastest lap in a time of 1: 28.796 minutes.

His teammate Carlos Sains, who was 19 hundredths behind Leclerc, will start from the second position.

The duo from Red Bull, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, will start from the second row. The current champion, Verstappen, reached the third position with 0.195 seconds behind the leader. Perez won the fourth position with 24 percent behind Leclerc.

Among the top ten were Valteri Botas (Alfa Romeo), Luis Hamilton (Mercedes), Pierre Gasley (Alfa Tauri), Lando Norris (McLaren), Yuki Cunoda (Alfa Tauri) and Lance Stroll (Aston Martin).

The race for the Miami Grand Prix, which is included in the Formula 1 calendar for the first time this year, will be run tomorrow at 9.30 pm.
