Kemna is the winner of the fourth stage of Djira

German cyclist Lenard Kemna is the winner of today’s fourth stage of the Giro d’Italia, while the Spanish general Juan Pedro Lopez took the lead in the general classification.

The stage from Avola to Mount Etna ended with a 22.9-kilometer ascent, and Kemna came to the triumph in the finish with a time of 4: 32.11 hours.

Second place went to Juan Pedro Lopez, who took over the pink shirt from the Dutchman Matthew Van der Pula, 97th on today’s stage.

Estonian Raine Tarame was third, 34 seconds behind.

Third place in the overall ranking of Djira from 2018, Colombian Miguel Angel Lopez withdrew from this year’s competition, due to a hip injury.

In the general classification, Juan Pedro Lopez leads ahead of Chemna, with an advantage of 39 seconds, while Tarame is third with 58 seconds behind.

The next stage runs from Catania to Messina, in the length of 172 kilometers.
