Ex-Werder coach Markus Anfang (47) is still attached to his former team and is keeping his fingers crossed for Bremen to advance.

Because of his fake vaccination card, his time as a Werder coach ended in November. The Bremen district court sentenced him to a fine of 36,000 euros, the DFB issued him a professional ban until November 2023, which will only apply on probation from June 10th. The beginning of the new season is allowed to work as a coach again.

His successor Ole Werner (34) made a dream start with nine wins from the first ten games. He led the club up from 10th place.
