Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced the content that will be available from the launch of the new PlayStation Plus service in the video game catalog of the Extra and Premium subscription modes, such as Demon’s Souls and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
The new PlayStation Plus is born from the merger of the company’s two previous services, the homonymous PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now. It will be for three subscription levels: Essential, Extra and Premium, with different prices and benefits.
PlayStation Plus Extra includes two downloadable games per month, exclusive discounts on PlayStation Store, 100GB of cloud storage for saved games and access to online multiplayer, plus a catalog of up to 400 games for PS4 and PS5, including titles from PlayStation Studios and third-party developer partners.
This subscription will offer 56 games for PlayStation 4 and 5 from launch, both from PlayStation Studios and third-party studios, including Days Gone, Ghost Of Tsushima Director’s Cut, Returnal, Control and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as reported by SIE it’s a statement.
The Premium subscription level also features a classic catalog of up to 340 more games. SIE has confirmed that there are ten Original and PSP games available since launch, including Ape Escape, Tekken 2 and Worms World Party. While the 19 remastered classic games include Dark Cloud, Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Bioshock Remastered, and the Lego Harry Potter Collection.
The Premium level will also receive 29 original PlayStation 3 video games, such as Demon’s Souls, Ico, Devil May Cry HD Collection, Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, among others. This subscription will also trial a number of games available for a limited time: Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Horizon Forbidden West, Cyberpunk 2077, Farming Simulator 22, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, and WWE 2K22.
