Giorgio Chiellini and Nico Rosberg invest in Treedom, the first site in the world to plant trees remotely in environmental and social sustainability projects. The entry took place on the occasion of a capital increase from 10 million which was attended by a number of investors, including the former Formula 1 world champion and the captain of the Italian national football team. Among these are the holding company Exor NV, DVR Capital and the global platform Ourcrowd, as well as Luigi de Vecchi, Andrea Guerra, Giovanni Moratti, Allegra and Alessia Antinori, Pietro Valsecchi. The new shareholders complete Banca Generali’s recent 3 million investment through its 8A + Real Innovation fund.
The Florentine company now aims to consolidate itself on the European market, further developing the digital platform and inaugurating new planting projects around the world. After the headquarters in Germany, Treedom has recently inaugurated that of London and in the coming months it will open a Paris and Amsterdam.
