A computer shooting game called “Fursan al.Aqsa: The Knights of the Al.Aqsa Mosque” which is expected to be released this December in a Palestinian center that aims to shoot and kill IDF soldiers. The meaning of the game in English is “Knights of Al.Aqsa”.
The game, which features graphic violence and is hard to watch, is expected to be sold on the Steam platform which is available worldwide and about 120 million people use it. Service users can now download a demo and play the game with the problematic message.
According to the description of the game on the Steam website, the game tells the story of Ahmad al.Palestinian, who was imprisoned for five years by the Israeli army and his family was killed in an air force bombing. He escaped from prison and avenged the death of his family by shooting to death as many IDF soldiers as possible.
Game developer Nidal Nijem, who according to his Twitter user lives in Brazil, wrote that the game’s goal is to “break the cliché that Arabs are terrorists.”
