Spotify has launched Greenroom, a standalone application that allows join live conversations on topics such as sports, music or culture, which do not require a music service account to participate.
Greenroom is Spotify’s answer to the audio rooms that in recent months have popularized the Clubhouse application and have replicated platforms such as Twitter or Instagram. In this case, access is free, without invitation and you don’t need to have a Spotify account either, since one can be created in this new service.
The ‘app’ is available for Android and iOS, and with it, users can join or organize live conversations on topics of interest to them, as well as follow other people. Anyone can participate as a listener or as a speaker, but it is the organizer who moderates the shifts and the participation tools.
Greenroom is available at the moment only in English, but it can be downloaded in most countries where Spotify is present, as the company claims on the web.
