90.year.old actor William Shatner, remembered for his role as Captain Kirk in the science fiction series Star Trek, will take off tonight (Wednesday) into outer space. In this way, Shatner will become the oldest person to take off into space.
Shatner will take off as part of the space tourism experience he founded, founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, and his stay in space lasted only about ten minutes. Prior to takeoff Shatner said he expects to see the Earth from a new angle.
“There is a mystical feeling in being in space, being so close to the stars and feeling a lack of gravity,” Shatner added.
