The Chinese company OPPO, which arrived in Israel at the beginning of the year, is starting to establish itself in Israel after launching a number of different device models. The first thing that went through my mind when the Reno 6 5G landed in my doorstep was that its design reminded me in a number of ways of the iPhone 12, and I did not expect it. But yes, you can find some similarities – including the way the cameras are arranged on the back of the device, and the flat frame.
This is Opo’s first device that I review, so I came up with a lot of questions, doubts and expectations from the intermediate device. It is difficult to ignore the fact that it is simply beautiful and looks luxurious – the device I received for review in the Northern Lights shade, a shade that at certain angles can even resemble a holographic shade. The screen of the device is covered with Gorilla Glass 5, and the frame of the screen is very thin. It is thinner than the competition, with an impressive body.to.body ratio of 85.5 percent. The camera hole is positioned at the top left of the screen so that it hardly “interferes” or “steals” screen space.
The device is equipped with a 6.4.inch screen with a resolution of 1080 × 2400 pixels, or + Full HD. This is an AMOLED screen, at a refresh rate of 90 Hz. I had no problem working with the device in direct light or bright areas (or alternatively – very dark), and the display quality was not affected as a result. In addition, it emits low levels of blue light, in order to maintain eye health. The Reno 6 5G is equipped with a Dimensity 900 6nm Media.Tek MT6877 processor, with 8GB of expandable RAM. The device is relatively light and weighs 182 grams,
On the back of the device you will find three cameras – the main one with a resolution of 64 megapixels. Next to it is an ultra.wide 8.megapixel lens and a 2.megapixel macro lens. The images came out sharp and clear, with balanced tones, though something was still missing. The photos came out satisfying at night, and using night mode added light and detail to the photos, but made them less natural. The front camera has a photo quality of 32 megapixels and it provides images of not bad quality at all. In addition, there is a dual shooting mode – which allows you to take a picture and present yourself at the same time.
As a heavy user of the device, battery life is a very important factor. The Reno 6 5G comes with a 4,300mAh battery that supports SuperVOOC2.0 fast charging technology, with a maximum power of 65 watts. This is a super fast charge. The price of the device: NIS 1,990.
