Curious about what it’s like in a shark’s mouth? In this simulator you brush his teeth

Shark Dentist is the latest crazy indie video game from Alice Games. The game puts you in a claustrophobic underwater clinic where you have to examine and fix the teeth of monsters who have more rows of teeth than you would expect. While holding mirrors and tweezers, you monitor pulse, anesthesia and oxygen. If you make a mistake or the patient wakes up too early, you end up in čeljusti and that very literally. A page is open on Steam, so the game is moreć now you can put it on the wishlist.

The tone is darkly humorous and sometimes cartoonish, but the mechanics are surprisingly detailed. Glitches, tools, and dental issues are randomly generated, so each attempt looks different. In one round you grind and fill, in the second they screw up the anesthesia valve, and in a panic you use a drill and a syringe. It was this mix of tension and slapstick accidents that made the trailer a small viral hit with comparisons to the Crocodile Dentist game and Buckshot Roulette suspense.

If you don’t mind ‘bloody games’, check out the gameplay for Shark Dentist:

Visually, everything is deliberately “nasty” and close to your face, so be prepared for very bloody scenes. The camera approaches your tooth, the light flashes, and the sound of the drill roars along the edges. If you like board games, this is the stuff for short, intense sessions and lots of memories.
