iOS 26.1 will allow you to dim the transparency of Liquid Glass

Presented at WWDC 2025 and introduced with iOS 26 in September, Liquid Glass was pointed out as the future of the aesthetics of iPhones and iPads, simulating the qualities of glass to give a more minimalist and transparent appearance to the already old classic ‘look’ of the devices Apple.

However, this change was not always well received by its users, who complained about visibility problems when using it, a problem that Apple wanted to solve with the release of iOS 26.1.

And this update, currently available, improves the visibility of Liquid Glass by giving a second option for its appearance that simulates, instead of transparent glass, a tinted window, giving greater contrast between the background and the information.

To access this option one only has to download the latest iOS update and then proceed to Settings → Display and brightness → Liquid Glass. Here you will have the option to go from the “Transparent” option to “Tinted”, with an image illustrating what this change entails.
