The National Council of Science, Technology and Innovation (Concytec) opened applications for the 2025 National CTI Award “Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo Gomero”the highest recognition of the Peruvian State for research and technological development. The deadline is November 30 2025 and the award ceremony will be held on December 12, 2025.
Created by Law No. 30008, the award distinguishes the significance and impact of research and development that generates knowledge, promotes innovation and provides solutions to national challenges, in line with the objectives of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SINACTI).

The 2025 edition considers three categories: Science Research, Technological Development and Technological Innovation; each with three subcategories: General, Young People (up to 40 years old) and Women. In addition, the regulations allow granting an “Exceptional Distinction” to figures whose career or contribution has national or international relevance.
Peruvian professionals who develop (or have developed) STI activities within the SINACTI framework may participate. Each application must be presented by a proponent: congressmen, authorities of universities or research institutes (public or private), deans of professional associations or legal representatives of business organizations (associations, unions or companies).
Applications must be aligned with prioritized themes in the country, which include health, climate change, bioeconomy, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, nanotechnology and STI governance, among other strategic areas.
The winners will receive a medal, a trophy and a laptop, they will sign the Santiago Antúnez de Mayolo Gomero Record Book of Merit Distinctions and their results will be published by Concytec Presidency Resolution. Applications: [email protected]
