About 2.2 million people participated in the Cyber Monday 2021 organized by the Argentine Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CACE), where more than a thousand brands sold their products at promotional prices.
From the CACE they indicated that 30% of consumers made their purchases on the first day, especially those who acquired clothing, footwear or cosmetic productsWhile those who buy household appliances prefer to wait to go through the different proposals, they are attentive to the so-called “bomb offers” and review the “Mega offers”.
Users themselves indicated that they saw discounts on air conditioning, in cosmetics -especially skincare creams and sunscreens-, technology (notebooks, consoles and tablets) Clothing and accessories; and sports.
On one of the e-commerce platforms, Tendube, at the close of the second day they registered more than 1,198 million pesos billing, which represents an increase of 72.5% over the first two days of Cyber Monday 2020.

In the platform stores 192 items were sold per minute, with more than 545,000 products in 182,793 transactions (24% more than in Cybermonday 2020); an average of three items per operation and in this case Clothing accounted for 54.6% of total sales.
According to data revealed by VTEX, the unified commerce platform that provides services to brands and retailers, the category that grew the most in turnover in relation to the first day were beauty and health products with more than 150 percent.
Precisely, within cosmetics, the brand Nature registered an increase of 97% in the amount of sales compared to cyber Monday last year, and a 246% increase in billing, with an increase of 86% in the average ticket. They found that 70% of the transactions correspond to the 3×2 promotions on select products.
In another brand of the sector, Avon, registered an order per minute on average in the first two days, and found that the second day “was the best day of the app since its launch in mid-June, with 30% new users and we doubled the number of sessions” .
For its part, Free market revealed that so far more than 400 thousand items have been sold, being the air conditioners, televisions, skin care products the best-selling items on the platform. In fact, the household appliances category registered the highest ticket with an average sale of 72 thousand pesos.
The Cyber Monday consumer profile
“The survey of users who participated in the event leaves us with an X-ray of the digital consumer that shows that they are more and more planners and no longer make impulse purchases, unless they see a great opportunity,” said the institutional director of the CACE, Gustavo Sambucetti.
He added that “the volume of users that the event is averaging to date shows us that both companies and users are taking advantage of and enhancing the opportunities of this new edition of CyberMonday.”
Based on a survey carried out by the CACE, they detected that “the type of purchase depends mainly on the category they are looking for”, and explained that “users who made purchases in the food and beverages category they are the most impulsive: They did not have the purchase planned, but they took advantage of the available offers to complete it, “he said.
On the other hand, “the users who bought electro, clothing or cosmetic products were more planners: they had been analyzing and investigating the product and its price, but they they decided to buy it during Cyber Monday to see the sales. ”
