Stadia eliminates the need to send invites to join a multiplayer

Google’s streaming gaming platform, Stadia, already allows other players to join a multiplayer game ‘live’ without having to send them an invitation, a feature that is currently only accessible for a few games, such as Far Cry 6.

For nearly two years, the platform has required players who wish to play a multiplayer game to invite their friends to join. This technique has now been adjusted by the technology business in order to make the game easier to play.

It has done this by removing the requirement to submit an invitation, allowing other players to join straight from the user’s profile. It also lets you control whether ‘All players’ or just ‘Friends’ are allowed to join.

According to Google’s Support page, the novelty is off by default and only enabled for a few titles, one of which being Far Cry 6.
