Twitter 2.0: This is how Elon Musk plans the future of the social network

A recording of the owner of Twitter and the billionaire Elon Musk was leaked today (Wednesday) to Twitter employees in which he sounds interested in adding options for video calls, voice calls and sending secure direct messages on the social network.

At the company’s headquarters in San Francisco, Musk presented a slide presentation called “Twitter 2.0.” He first used the term last week when he emailed a staff ultimatum to work or quit. “We want to enable users to be able to communicate without being concerned about their privacy,” Musk is heard on the recording.

In the meantime, the spirits on the social network did not calm down to accommodate Musk’s changes in the company, when thousands of employees resigned following Musk’s ultimatum, which required the employees to choose whether they wanted to continue with him in the company or resign. The number of departures was greater than expected, including some “legendary” engineers, and now the social network finds itself in great danger.
