From Sunday, for an entire week, the code hour events will be held in Israel for the fourth time. This is a series of events that takes place in Israel as part of a global project, in which hundreds of thousands of Israeli students will join millions of students from around the world and be exposed to one hour of programming and writing code.

Last year, more than 200,000 children participated in the activity, from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat. The theme that will be at the center of the activity this year is connections between code and computer science and the variety of subjects taught in the school.

Nir Zohar, president of WIX, which promotes events in Israel, says: “Code and technology are everywhere today – from the development of vaccines and drugs, through space exploration to cinematic masterpieces. All children, from anywhere in the country, regardless of their background, should have Opportunity to study computer science at school, along with a variety of compulsory subjects currently taught. “
