The battle for the fastest mobile charging in the world takes place at MWC in Barcelona

The presentations of two mobile fast charging systems at Mobile World Congress on Monday were both self-proclaimed as the quickest in the world, with hours of difference, while their respective businesses, reame and Oppo, improved prototypes of the future generations, which are based on 200W.

realme has taken advantage of its time at the Barcelona trade show to announce that the GT Neo 3 “will be the’smartphone’ with the fastest charge in the world,” in this case with a system 150W capable of charging 50% of the battery in 5 minutes.

This charging system will be included in the GT Neo 3. However, realme is working on another, which he has dubbed Ultra Dart Charging Architecture, a comprehensive charging solution that can support charging capabilities of between 100W and 200W without sacrificing speed, security, or battery life, as indicated.

The heat control mechanism of this charging technology uses a temperature management algorithm to keep the temperature below 43oC at all times. It’s also backed up by “the greatest lithium batteries in the business,” which can save up to 80% of this component’s capacity across 1,000 full charge cycles.

Oppo, on the other hand, has unveiled two new fast charging technologies for smartphones: the 150W Super VOOC system with BHE (abbreviations for Battery Health Engine, or battery health engine) and the 240W Super VOOC.

Charging a battery of roughly 4,500mAh at 150W with SuperVOOC with BHE allows you to get 50% of its capacity in five minutes – online with the realme system – and 100% in 15 minutes.

It’s accompanied with energy-control mechanisms aimed at extending battery life, with 150W SuperVOOC with BHE reaching 80 percent after 1,600 cycles, according to Oppo.

Oppo has also revealed that a OnePlus phone with 150W SuperVOOC and BHE will be released in the second quarter of this year. However, it is already working on a more advanced technology, the 240W SuperVOOC, just like realme.

According to the business, a 4,500 mAh battery can be charged to 100% capacity in around nine minutes using the 240W fast charge technology. It also features a Type-C interface and three charge pumps, as well as the ability to convert the supplied power to 10V/24A.

Whether it’s the world’s next most powerful fast charging system that combines a’smartphone,’ or the prototype with which they want to get ahead of the competition, both realme and Oppo have chosen to compete at the Mobile World Congress to discover who has the fastest mobile charging technology.
