Etermax, the company that created Trivia Crack, now has a trivia for everyone on Netflix

Etermax, the Argentine company that created the successful game “Ask”, came to Netflix with Trivia Questa game where we have to answer questions to see release to the friends of the protagonist Willy. It arrives next month and to play it you will simply have to look for the title in the menu of the popular streaming platform.

Trivia Quest arises from Trivia Crack, a game that had more than 20 million active users newspapers in 2015. As reported by the New York Times, Netflix licensed Trivia Crack from its parent company, Etermax.

“Andy Weil, Vice President of Interactive and Comedy Content at Netflix, said his experiences with bar trivia inspired him to launch the game within the Netflix portfolio. Among developers, writers, animators and engineers, between 35 and 40 people worked together to bring Trivia Quest to life”, tells the North American media.

Netflix made its first experiment with interactive content in 2018: Bandersnatch, a movie where we can decide, as in “Choose your own adventure”, the decisions that the protagonists make. With incidence in the end, of course. In this line, it was adding various experiences and now it is the turn of Trivia Quest.

A new episode of Trivia Quest will hit the service every day throughout April, with 30 episodes in total. (Before asking, Weil writes that “no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke.”) Each episode will include 24 trivia questions (12 easy and 12 hard) in a multiple choice format. Categories include science, entertainment, sports, art, geography, and history.

The story is simple but fast engaging: we have to help Willy save the hostage citizens of Trivia Land captured by a knowledge-hungry villain named Evil Rocky.

Players will be able to replay the quizzes to rack up points and correctly answer questions they may have previously missed. Weil also writes that each individual quiz “features a definitive ending, but we don’t want to tell you too much about that just yet. You’ll have to play to see.”

It will be playable on any platform: Android phones and tablets; iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches; smart TVs and compatible consoles; as well as on the web.
