Grants worth billions of euros will be awarded to Israeli companies

The new research and development program of the EU “Horizon Europe”, which came into force this year, offers Israeli bodies and business and academic institutions research and development grants from the program in the total amount of about 9 billion euros.

By 2020, the EU’s International Partnership Program has given Israel unlimited access to most of its parts but recently, the European Commission has submitted a proposal that includes the possibility of excluding Israel from taking part in the fields of space and quantum computing. Due to German opposition and at the end of a diplomatic struggle, Israeli institutions and companies were also allowed to take part in these programs.

On March 28, the Israel-Europe Chamber of Commerce will hold a special webinar on grants in order to answer questions such as the conditions for eligibility for the grant and how the application can be submitted. The event will take place tomorrow at 10:00 in cooperation with the Israel-EU Chamber of Commerce, the Israeli Director for European R&D at the Innovation Authority and the Manufacturers’ Association.
