Kingdom Hearts celebrates the 20th anniversary of the saga in Japan with its Tamagotchi

Tamagotchi has announced the arrival of one of its devices to take care of virtual pets with the theme of Kingdom Hearts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular Square Enix video game saga in Japan.

The news has been advanced by Tamagotchi’s Japanese Twitter account where he has shared some information, such as the fact that the device will go on sale in October and will come with two modes: one that represents light and the other that represents darkness.

Its starting price in Japan will be 2,530 yen, the equivalent of about 18 euros at the current exchange rate. Premium Bandai, the company that distributes them, will receive reservations until next May 5. On its official website, it talks about the possibility of making “international shipments”.

However, the regions it cites are the following: Taiwan, Macao, America, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Hong Kong. Neither Spain nor Europe appear on the list at the moment.

The Kingdom Hearts Tamagotchi for the twentieth anniversary of the saga will follow in the footsteps of Kimetsu no Yaiba (also known by its English name, Demon Slayer) and will be of the Nano model, that is, monochrome and smaller than the basic model, the Tamagotchi On.

According to Tamagotchi, there will be at least five characters available: Sora, Riku, Kairi, Donald and Goofy, although more unlockables are expected.
