TikTok integrates memes, GIFs, and sound clips from Giphy to use them in videos

TikTok has presented Library, a new creative tool that allows access to clips and animated images, with and without sound, from Giphy, that can be integrated into self-created videos.

Access to the contents of Giphy is made through the Library (library), which includes, along with memes, GIFs and other animated images, also GIPHY Clips, a type of GIF with sound.

These items can be embed in videos that TikTok users do, to enhance their visual expression, as they explain from the social network in a statement.

Available Clips are displayed in high quality and come from partner platforms and artists including HBO, ABC, Hulu, Xbox, and The Roku Channel, among others.

Library “unlocks a new category of entertainment content for users to comment, debate or make parodies and allows more creators to participate or start their own trends,” Giphy said in a separate statement.

Giphy’s integration into the TikTok library will start this week on Android and the next one on iOS, and it will gradually reach all users.
