Facebook has expanded its data transfer tool with two new destinations to send a copy of the information saved in the social network, which now also supports Photobucket and Google Calendar.
The technology company has reported in a statement that it has redesigned its portability tool “from scratch”, to make it easier to transfer data from Facebook to other services. In this sense, new destinations have been added and even a new type of data to transfer.
Photobucket and Google Calendar They are available from this Monday in the ‘Transfer a copy of your information’ tool, along with those so far available: Google Docs, WordPress.com/Jetpack, Koofr, Blogger, Google Photos, Dropbox and Blackblaze B2.
Each destination is indicated for a file type, such as photos and videos, notes or posts. Facebook has also expanded the options with the events, which can be sent to the new Google Calendar destination.
The redesign has also focused on improvements to the user experience, which indicate with greater transparency the status of the transfer, or allow simultaneously initiate multiple transfers. There are also filters to select what you want to send.
The company has ensured that it continues to work with developers to expand the options for both destinations and types of files that can be sent. These works are part of the initiative ‘Data Transfer Project.
