WhatsApp has added a new feature that displays the expected time of arrival and upload of a document to your Beta users on Android, iOS, Web, and Desktop.
The new WhatsApp feature lets both senders and recipients know when a document will be downloaded in its entirety to the recipient’s device or uploaded to the platform’s servers and transmitted within a chat.
After forwarding the information, WABetaInfo tells users that this new feature was first introduced to WhatsApp Desktop in March, and it is now being rolled out to certain Beta users on both Android (v188.8.131.52) and iOS (v184.108.40.206) (v220.127.116.11).
To provide this information to the user, a percentage is displayed just below the document in question, along with the expected time for the procedure to complete in parentheses to its right.
The media claims that it is a highly beneficial feature, particularly for Beta users in Argentina, which is now the only nation where WhatsApp allows users to share documents up to 2GB in size.
